I did a tranquil abiding meditation today, and rather than tell you about the meditation, j thought I would share one of my techniques with you.

To get a very concentrated mind mentally say a word, such as Clear. Say it with each out breath and try to experience Clarity in your mind. Then, when your experience is fairly stable, only say the word on every other out breath. Just try to keep the meaning and experience going, without thinking any thoughts.

Then, go for every third breath, and so on, building slowly to a continuous experience of Clarity.
