Today’s meditation was focusing on beginnings, middles and ends. Essentially a tranquil abiding meditation, simply focusing on sets of three breaths.

The first breath was the beginning, and I tried to hear the word ‘beginning’ in my mind, without feeling as though it came from me. It felt like it was a sound coming from nowhere and filling all of space.

Similarly with ‘middle’.

Then the last breath was accompanied by ‘end’.

Then repeat, feeling clearer and more still with each repetition.
