The purpose of this meditation was to remember the kindness of all living beings.
We began by making appropriate preparations for meditation, and then recalled the kindness of all living beings. When they were my mother, they looked after us with great kindness. Even now, they give me everything I need for my life and my spiritual practice.
But I finally settled on the notion that they are there as my objects of love and compassion. How can I develop love with no one to love. How can I perfect compassion with no one to be compassionate towards?
I focused on how I need every single living being because to become a Buddha, I need to have Universal Compassion. I felt connected to everyone, humble and grateful. And very happy.
May all living beings quickly be free from samsara.
