The purpose of this meditation was to generate a strong sense of cherishing love for all living beings.

I began by making the appropriate preparations for meditation, and then recalled what I have been doing today. I spent alot of time cooking and preparing food today, and while I was doing it I tried to keep my mind on how I was cherishing my family by making dinner and cakes for school lunch boxes etc.

In meditation, I recalled the feelings of cherishing others, and brought to mind some words of Kadampa Ryan, who pointed out that ordinary worldly activities can be transformed into spiritual practices if we transform our minds.

I generated a feeling of cherishing others through my actions, and focused on this feeling of cherishing for the rest of the meditation.

May all living beings learn to cherish others, and may they all feel cherished.
