Yesterday’s meditation was on emptiness, where I took the emptiness of my mental continuum as my object.

Today’s meditation was to develop the wish to engage practically in reliance upon a Spiritual Guide.

After making the appropriate preparations I settled on the idea that I need to study and practice Geshe-la’s teachings if I am to rely on him in a practical sense. When I fail to overcome my delusions I need to recognise how I feel – usually bad – and use that memory to add power to my effort next time. When I act in virtuous ways I need to recognise my action and remind myself of the negative actions I could have chosen. Essentially to be mindful in all my actions and apply dharma wisdom at all times. I focused on this determination.

May I and all living beings overcome our delusions.
