Just a short post today because I have been out tonight enjoying a rare opportunity to give a General Programme evening meditation class. We took patience as our topic tonight and did one of my favourite meditations. First we settle the mind, then imagine we have perfect, unshakeable patience at our heart. We then imaging we are in a situation where we would normally become unsettled or angry, but we maintain our balanced peacefulness. Then we imagine that the problem has passed and we maintained our peaceful and serene state throughout the whole experience, and we settle into the feeling that external events can never, ever cause us to lose our ocean-like peace and serenity. Beautiful.

This morning’s meditation was on our precious human life, and once again I was filled with the wonderful sense of hope and opportunity that we have.
