The purpose of this meditation is to generate a feeling of relying completely upon our Spiritual Guide.

I made the appropriate preparations for meditation and then started by recalling how I owe all  my spiritual development to my kind Spiritual Guide, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. He came to this country in the 70s and worked steadily to spread pure Dharma in the west. Since then he has trained qualified teachers, established centres and training courses and made it possible for modern people to integrate the meaningful teachings of Buddha into their everyday lives.

I focused on the feeling that everything I know and write about in this blog is due to his kindness. I thought:

I will rely on your kindness, instructions and inspiration to complete my spiritual path.

I focused on this for the rest of the meditation. It was lovely.

May all living beings find their Spiritual Guide – someone who can talk to their heart and guide them to actualise their full potential as human beings.

Practice in the Meditation Break

I will honour my Spiritual Guide by putting his teachings into practice.
