The purpose of today’s meditation was to develop the wish to overcome our worst enemy – our self grasping mind.

I began with the appropriate preparations for meditation and then brought to mind the contemplation. From How to Understand the Mind. Our self grasping mind continually destroys our happiness.

I thought about how our self grasping sits at our heart and prevents us attaining true happiness and it was not hard to generate a wish to be rid of it. What a harmful thought.


May all living beings be free from self grasping.
