I’ve always been one for gazing at the sky, but with Dharma wisdom, such wistful pursuits can be very meaningful.

Look at this – the sky over my house this morning…

So much in one place – I love it. Deep blue – pure white – delicate pastel light blue – dark grey…

It reminded me of how my mind feels during meditation. Many thoughts pass through my mind and some seem to be very pronounced, while others – well you would never know they were there unless you spent some time clearing off the loud ones.

But slowly, in meditation, the greys and the whites and then the whisps all dissolve into space. Then the dark blues and the light blues slowly dissolve until there arises a luminous, radiant presence of clarity – truly blissful purity.

How wonderful to dwell in clarity.
